Hello!  Hola!

I am Mrs. Irwin and I will be working with the English Language Learners (ELL) at our school district in the K-12 setting. 

As a District ELL teacher, I will be working with the students on reading, writing, listening, and speaking in English. I will also be helping students learn the social and academic English necessary to become successful, while celebrating and honoring their own cultural identity and ethnicity.
The services that I will be providing to the students in the K-12 setting might vary depending on each student's individual needs related to their English language proficiency levels. I might work with the students in small groups, tutoring sessions, pull-out, or work with the students alongside a general education teacher in his/her homeroom. For students who have achieved a high proficiency level I might only monitor the students' progress throughout the school year to see how he/she is doing in a general classroom setting.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration and Finance from Universidad de Occidente in Mazatlan, Mexico.
• Master's Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) K-12 from Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio.
• Reading Endorsement K-12 from Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio.
