Welcome to 4th Grade Math!
My name is Gretel Lloyd and I have been teaching at Northridge for 14 years. I taught first grade for six years, second grade for four years, fifth grade math for one year, and fourth grade math for three years. I have lived in Alexandria my entire life and graduated from Northridge High School...go Vikes! I earned my teaching degree at The Ohio State University...go Bucks :)
I have four children. Taylor graduated from Capital University and Is a high school Art teacher at Upper Arlington High School. Alexis is Northridge sophomore and plays volleyball and basketball. Olivia is a Northridge 8th grader and plays volleyball, basketball and softball. Gabe is a Northridge 4th grader and enjoys American history, military history and video games.
It is my goal to help students learn math concepts while having fun! Mastering multiplication facts is an important goal in fourth grade...it will make future math classes so much easier! We do lots of partner/ small group activities in class. Students keep track of their progress in the data section of their math binders. Every student has a username and password for the online resources of our Envision Math program at www.pearsonrealize.com. This website contains our online textbook, virtual manipulatives, and a glossary that may help with homework. Also, there are many online games that students can play to practice thier math skills. If you need your student's login information again, please email me!
Thank you for sharing your child with me! Please email me if you have any questions or concerns!
