Viking Ventures is Northridge’s career-technical education program that lets students explore high-demand careers while staying on campus and enjoying student life. Through hands-on learning, real-world skills, and expert instruction, students prepare for college, industry credentials, and high-wage careers.

How It Works

• 9th Grade: Explore multiple career areas with two introductory courses

• 10th Grade: Take one introductory course.

• 11th & 12th Grade: Are welcome to take an introductory course as an elective. 

Pathways Offered

• Agriculture – Livestock, crops, food production, agribusiness

• Engineering – Robotics, design, real-world projects

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Patient care and allied health

• Fitness, Athletics & Wellness – Exercise science, nutrition, injury prevention

• Interactive Media – Digital storytelling and content creation

• Construction – Building fundamentals and trade skills

• Electrical – Circuitry to advanced systems

• Welding – Beginner to advanced techniques

• Odyssey Program – Advanced academics and college credit

Students gain hands-on experience in satelitte classrooms on campus, guided by skilled instructors, giving them the opportunity to explore careers, develop practical skills, and prepare for life after graduation.
