Short-Term Teaching Substitutes (Daily Substitutes)

Northridge Local School District is seeking short-term teaching substitutes for all classrooms.

Additional Requirements:

Save the completed application to your computer.
Submit your application using one of the following methods:

If you’d like to join our team as a teaching substitute, please follow the five steps outlined in the image. Once you’ve completed these steps, email MacKenzie Bonvillain so we can ensure you are added to our substitute list.

Please keep the following in mind:

Day-to-day teaching substitutes: Must have a high school diploma.
Long-term teaching substitutes: Must have at least an associate degree.

Seeking an Ohio Temporary Non-Bachelor's Substitute Teaching License

If you do not have a teaching license, you will need to apply for an Ohio Temporary Non-Bachelor's Substitute Teaching License. Click here for complete step-by-step instructions and access to the State Board of Education Substitute page.

REQUIRED BACKGROUND CHECK

Background Checks

Northridge Local Schools requires all employees and substitutes to have a current FBI/BCI background check on file prior to employment or working in our schools or with our students. If you are interested in becoming a certified or non-certified substitute in our district, you must complete a background check.

For your convenience, you may contact the District Office to schedule your background check during regular business hours. Please have your driver’s license available when you come in.
